Fujitsu Cool Drivers star at State Karting TitlesWednesday, July 13th, 2011
The last two weeks have seen the Fujitsu ‘Cool’ Drivers score multiple State Karting Titles, with South Aussie teenager Todd Hazelwood claiming the Junior Clubman win at the Northern Territory Championship meeting, while local ace Royce Nott backed that result up with a strong victory in the Leopard Light category. Melbourne schoolboy Damon Strongman claimed a pair of fourth places in both Junior National Light and Junior National Heavy and was oh so close to scoring a podium spot.
The Darwin results bring the total of ‘Cool’ Driver State Karting Title wins to four, with Joey Mawson having already claimed two so far this year. The first of which was back in March at the Victorian Open while his most recent win was at the Queensland Titles in Warwick at the start of July.
The great results don’t end there with Cameron Waters now leading the Australian Formula Ford Championship after two rounds, with the third round to take place this weekend at Sydney’s Eastern Creek. Waters will be joined on track by fellow Fujitsu ‘Cool’ Drivers, Nick Foster, Rhett Noonan and Shae Davies, who will all be out for victory.
